Father’s Day

This may be a blog dedicated to motherhood but I know I wouldn’t be surviving mommy-hood without her daddy! In honor of Father’s Day on Sunday , I wanted to dedicate today to Alyson’s favorite guy!

I will try not to embarrass him too much, but I make no promises! I loved my husband before she was born but watching him become a dad has made me fall in love with him all over again. Ryan is the greatest with her and tells her that she is cute at least a hundred times a day, and each time her face lights up like Christmas morning. I remember during the first few weeks, I would wake up some mornings to him just holding her before he had to go to work. More often than not he will ask me in the middle of the night if baby girl is still doing okay. It is little moments like that I hope I remember forever.

I have asked Ryan to give us a little insight on how he feels about fatherhood so here we go!

These are the top three things he has learned since becoming a dad:

  1. She has made me learn that I need to be more patient.
  2. Blow outs are real.
  3. No matter how frustrating or trying the learning curve of parenting can be, the love you have for your child is even greater.

These are his top two favorite moments:

  1. One of my favorite moments was when she started cooing and making cute little baby noises.
  2. Watching my two favorite girls cuddle every morning.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.Hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating!
